I have all the stuff to do on that checklist yet. And the more it piles up, the less I want to do it. Especially with so much drama and other stresses going around. Such as our apartment situation. It's not drama, thank heavens, but it is stressful nonetheless. We have a group of four and there is another group of six with two girls that are thinking about coming to live with us. Apartments are given out based on a point system, and our group of four has less points than the average group because we 1) don't have a full group and 2) have Heather, who has a semester less here than the rest of us (we get 30 points or something for each semester we've been here). I LOVE our group of four, but the problem is that we need a fifth and sixth or we have virtually no hope of getting into the apartments. There are 108 spots and there are 116 people or something that applied on time. There are another probably 20 people or so who applied late and are therefore on a wait list. So it's quite stressful because if we don't get an apartment (or if we get split up, in which case we are all leaving the apartments) we will have to find a house. One of our group does not want to find a house with us because she has no money (none of us do), so she will probably choose to live in the Tower over finding a house with us. At the moment we are hoping that those two other girls will be able to switch over from their own group of six, but at this point we don't know. The other group has a CLL in it (basically an RA for the apartments) who is guaranteed an apartment, so we are hoping that her group is guaranteed to stay with her. If that is the case, it would be perfect for us because those other two girls could join us. The best part about this situation is that everything is open and honest and there is no muttering and whispering about it. We have been appreciating everyone's cooperation with this as they are doing us a HUGE favour by even considering it, although we have already made it completely clear that we do not want to screw them over by taking the two extra girls. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work, and we will find a house. It is slightly reassuring to know that, by tomorrow night, we will know what we need to do, but that doesn't make it easy to wait. And in the meantime, I need to focus...
